John M. Bailey is a second-year law student at Georgia State University. Born and raised in Arkansas, John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in German, receiving honors in both subjects. Before enrolling in graduate school, John gained experience in the public interest field, work he continued while in school. Following his German studies, John was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to teach English in Germany for the 2004-2005 school year.
After returning to the U.S., John gained further experience in the public interest field, advocating for individuals with disabilities, which influenced his decision to attend law school. As a law student, John has gained invaluable experience as a legal intern working with low-income families on a variety of issues, from housing concerns to disability benefits.
John is happily married to his college sweetheart and is kept busy by two energetic cats. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, jogging, and playing racquetball.
